A new name
Kvas is now Kvasen
The name Kvas was taken, so the app is now Kvasen, from квасен хляб, Bulgarian for sourdough bread. Nothing else changes: your bakes, recipes and settings are where you left them.

Choose how early the oven reminder comes
The reminder to turn the oven on no longer has to be an hour before the bake. On the review screen, pick 15 to 60 minutes, or keep what the recipe says.
Change the oven's heat and minutes, and be reminded
On the bake step, each stretch of the bake has its own minutes and heat that you can change for your oven. Set the numbers, press It's in the oven, and the timers start and lock. They tell you, on the lock screen too, when to take the lid off and turn the oven down.
A softer second reminder
If you have not got to a step, the second reminder now comes after a while that suits the step, says when it was planned and that there is no hurry, and you will get at most two an hour.
A reminder to divide the dough
When you bake two or more loaves, the shaping step now tells you to cut the dough into equal pieces before the final shape.
Today asks about your starter first
Before Today offers a time, it asks when you last fed your starter, because a starter out of the fridge needs a wake-up feed and changes when you begin.
Download your data, or delete your account
You → Your data gives you everything Kvasen keeps for you in one file, and a way to delete your account and all of it, for good.
A tab called You
Your bakers, what you've shared, your kitchen and Settings are in the last tab now. Community used to be in two places; now it's in one.
Other bakers' recipes are in Recipes
At the bottom of Recipes, under From other bakers.
The equipment guide on your phone
Under You, in Your kitchen.
Follow a baker, see their loaves
Find someone by name in Community, ask to follow, and see the loaves they choose to share. You decide whether to be found, and who says yes.
A word when someone you follow bakes
At most one quiet note a day, never while you're asleep. Turn it off in Settings.
Kvasen opens on Today
Some phones opened on an older screen with no picture. If yours still does, close Kvasen and open it again.
Your own recipes save again
Making a recipe and starting it no longer stops with an error message.
The times offered are times that work
Today's mealtimes now take your starter into account, so a time you pick is one Kvasen can plan.
Feedback from any screen
Tap the bubble at the top to say what worked and what did not.
Delete a recipe you made
It sits right under Change on the recipe's page.
Dutch oven times filled in
Preheat to 250°, lid on at 250°, lid off at 220°. Change them for your own oven.
Share a picture of your loaf
A baked bake can be shared in a Kvasen frame, or its recipe on its own.
Removed a bake by mistake?
It stays for thirty days and can be brought back. You can also keep a bake without Kvasen learning from it.
Reset a forgotten password
A link on the log in page sends you an email to get back in.
Reminders reach a locked iPhone
Add Kvasen to your Home Screen, then turn reminders on once under Settings.
